The law system of Saudia Arabia is based on Sharia. The laws that govern the state are derived from Quran and the tradition of Muhammad (PBUH). This trait of system makes it unique as the system is exceptional in the world of Islam. Usually countries who adopt the sharia determine which part of it needs to be codified or modernized.
The sharia in Saudia Arabia is applied throughout the Kingdom in strict accordance with the interpretation of Hanbali school of thought. The pious Muslims of Sharia follows the hanbali school although its the most conservative school in Sharia.
